Setting a Disk Recorder (VDCP)

Open the Home > Setup > External Device > Serial/
Net Port Setting > DDR VDCP menu (19105.63).
A list of ports is shown on the left and the settings
st
atus of the selected port is shown on the right.

In the list on the left, select the target port to set.

In the [DDR Type] group, select a type of disk
recorder.
Player: Pl

In the [Name Mode] group, select a file name mode.
Fixed 8 Character: 8-ch
aracter file name
Variable Length: Var
iable-length file name (up to
23 characters)

In the [Frame Control Mode] group, select a frame
control mode.
For a disk recorder that does not support a timecode
wi
th a drop frame bit, set drop frame mode or non
drop frame mode.

Non Drop Frame: Non-
drop frame mode
Configurable only when the system signal format
f
requency is 59.94.
If the drop frame bit of the timecode is set, it

perates in drop frame mode.

In the [TC Sense] group, select a timecode sense
mode.
Zero based: T
imecode sense (detection), taking the
first frame of the loaded file as 00:00:00:00.
SOM based: Sen
se (detection) occurs using the
timecode recorded in the loaded file.

Enable/disable duration detection using the [Duration
Sense] button.
On: E
nable duration sense (detection).
Off:
Disable duration sense (detection).

In the list on the right, set the video port and response
speed of the item.
Press the [Setting] button for an item to set and enter
a set
ting in the numeric keypad window.
Setting loop/recue
You can enable/disable looping and recueing.

Open the Home > Setup > External Device > Serial/
Net Port Setting > DDR VDCP menu (19105.63).

Enable/disable looping using the [Loop] button.
On: E
nable looping. Replay the loaded file in a
continuous loop.

isable looping.
