Ensure purge valve connector is secure.
Disconnect ECM and proceed to pinpoint
test 1

Open circuit or short circuit to earth

Short circuit
Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to

- Valve pin 1 to valve pin 2

verify operation of purge valve
