The battery electrolyte level must be kept between the
upper and lower level lines. Check the electrolyte level in
each cell
in
accordance with scheduled maintenance

1.
Remove the battery as described earlier
2.
Check that the electrolyte level in each cell is
between the upper and lower level lines.
3.
If the electrolyte level is low in any cell, top-up the
cell with distilled water.
Battery Maintenance (GS sealed battery)
The battery is a sealed type and does not require any
maintenance other than routine recharging such as
during storage.
It is not possible to adjust the electrolyte level in the
battery.

WARNING:
Electrolyte
is highly
corrosive and will damage clothing and
cause burns if in contact with the skin
Never route the battery breather pipe in any way
which could cause the pipe to become blocked or
trapped. A blocked or damaged pipe will cause a
build up of pressurised, explosive gas which may
ignite.
When adding electrolyte, always wear eye and skin
protection.
A
CAUTION: Use only distilled water to
top-up the battery. Tap water will shorten
the service life of the battery.
