Installing the trim rams
1. Hold the cylinder body

in a vise using
aluminum plates
a
on both sides.
2. Add the specified amount of the recom-
mended fluid through the cylinder body
hole

3. Install the new O-ring

and backup ring

to the free piston

4. Push the free piston

into the tilt cylin-
der until it bottoms out.
5. Fill the trim cylinders

with the recom-
mended fluid to the correct level as
shown.
6. Add a small amount of the recommended
fluid though cylinder body holes

7. Install the trim piston assembly into the
trim cylinder, and then tighten the trim
cylinder end screw

to the specified
torque.
