Disassembling the power trim and
tilt motor
1. Remove the PTT motor screws.
2. Remove the lead holder

and spacer
2
from the yoke
3
, and then slide them
towards the leads.
CAUTION:
• Keep the PTT motor leads inside the
yoke.
• Do not allow grease or oil to contact the
commutator.
NOTE:
Place a clean cloth over the end of the arma-
ture shaft and carefully pull the armature from
the yoke with a pair of pliers as shown.
3. Remove the screws

, disconnect the
PTT motor leads

, and then remove
the brush holders

and brushes

CAUTION:
Do not touch the bimetal
a
, otherwise the
operation of the breaker may be affected.
NOTE:
Hold the brush with a screwdriver as shown,
and then disconnect the PTT motor lead
(blue).
