4.12.8 RAID
RAID (redundant array of independent disks) is a data storage virtualization technology that
combines multiple physical HDD components into a single logical unit for the purposes of data
redundancy, performance improvement, or both.

RAID function is for some series products only. Slight difference might be found on the user
interface.

The NVR supports RAID0, RAID1, RAID5, RAID6, and RAID 10. Local hot spare supports RAID1,
RAID5, RAID6, and RAID10.
For the disk quantity required for each RAID type. See Table 4-81.
