AfterOperation Cleanthemachineandcheckforcracks,damaged,looseormissingbolts
and nuts. Lubricate all necessary parts without delay.
NeartheOcean AfterOperation Thefollowingsaltpollutionmeasuresmustbetakenwhenthemachineis
operated at sea or at coastline.
(1) Aftercompletingthework,extend/retractthehydrauliccylinders
severaltimestoformoilfilmontherodsurface.Storethemachine
with cylinders retracted as much as possible.
(2) Thoroughly clean the machine with fresh water to wash off salt.
(3) Performtouchuppaintingperiodicallyonhosefittings,lubrication
piping and inserting position of cover, where sea water is easily
collected, in order to prevent corrosion.
(4) Duringstorageofthemachine,coverthemachinebytarpstoprevent
sea water from entering into the cab vent. Apply rust prevention oil
(example:ANTIRUSTP-1300NP-3JXNipponOil&EnergyCorporation)
onto plated part of the cylinder rods.
DustyAtmosphere Air Cleaner Clean the filter element and strainer regularly at shorter service intervals.
Radiator Clean the oil cooler screen to prevent clogging of the radiator core.
FuelSystem Clean the filter element and strainer regularly at shorter service intervals.
ElectricalParts Clean the commutator especially for the starter and alternator.
Engine,Muffler Cleanearlierthanthenormalintervaltopreventdustfromstickingand
accumulating. Inhibit regeneration according to the machine operating
condition.
RockyGround Track Carefullyoperatewhilecheckingforcracks,damageandlooseboltsand
nuts.
Donotuserubbercrawlers.
Front Attachment Standardattachmentmaybedamagedwhendiggingrockyground.
Reinforcethebucketbeforeusingit,oruseaheavydutybucket.
FallingStones CabHeadGuard Provideacabguardtoprotectthemachinefromfallingstones.Consult
your nearest Hitachi dealer.
FreezingWeather Fuel/Lubricant Use high quality and low viscosity fuel and oil.
EngineCoolant Besuretouseantifreeze.
Battery Fully charge the batteries at shorter intervals. If not fully charged,
electrolyte may freeze.
Track Keepthetrackclean.Parkthemachineonahardsurfacetopreventthe
tracks
fromfreezingto
theground.
High Altitude
(Altitude: 1500 m or
higher)
EngineOil Changeat1/2ofnormalserviceinterval.
EngineOilFilter Changeat1/2ofnormalserviceinterval.
Whenthemachineisoperatedatthealtitude1500morhigher,theignitionoftheenginemaydeteriorate,possibly
resulting in significant decrease in durability or function. If the machine is unavoidably operated under these conditions,
consult your authorized Hitachi dealer.
