Prevent Burns
Hot spraying fluids:
After operation, engine coolant is hot and under pressure.
Hot water or steam is contained in the engine, radiator and
heater lines.
Skincontactwithescapinghotwaterorsteamcancause
severe burns.
To prevent possible injury from hot spraying water, stop
theengine.Begintoworkaftertheengineandradiator
are sufficiently cooled
DONOTremovetheradiatorcapuntiltheengineiscool.
Whenopening,turnthecapslowlytothestop.Allowall
pressure to be released before removing the cap.
Thehydraulicoiltankispressurized.Again,besureto
release all pressure by slowly removing the cap.
Hot fluids and surfaces:
Engineoil,gearoilandhydraulicoilalsobecomeshot
during operation.
The engine, hoses, lines and other parts become hot as well.
Waitfortheoilandcomponentstocoolbeforestarting
anymaintenanceorinspectionwork.
