Replace the Z motor with the head mounted to the machine.
For the [★] parts of the work procedures below, also refer to the work contents of “2-1-12 Replacing
the Head Unit (When the Head Revision Number Is A or Later)”.
<Replacing the Z-motors of the odd-numbered shafts>
1) ★ Remove the head cover.
2) ★ Remove the connector connected to the solenoid valve and remove the cable fixing.
3) ★ Disconnect the air tubes connected to the solenoid valve (φ4 × 8, φ6 × 1 and φ8 × 2).
4) ★ Disconnect the cable of the solenoid valve for the head-up cylinder (relay connector).
5) Disconnect the air tubes connected to the solenoid valve for the head-up cylinder (φ4 × 2 and φ6
×1).
6) Remove the air tube from the Y union secured to the head SV bracket (φ4 × 4).
7) Remove the motor connector from the relay connector of the head SV bracket
8) ★ Remove the air tube secured to the head SV bracket and the cable fixing.
9) ★ Remove the connector of the Z motor relay cable from the Zθ driver board.
10) Remove the head SV bracket.
11) Remove the T sensor bracket.
12) Remove the motor mounting screws (4 pcs.) to remove the motor together with the pulley.
13) Assemble the removed parts and the new motor in the reverse procedure.
14) Adjust the belt tension as described in <Procedure for adjusting the belt tension>.
* Set a microphone in the space to which the T sensor bracket is assembled and make the
tension measurement.
15) After assembling the parts and the new motor, obtain the necessary MS parameters again.
