2-1-21 Replacing the θ-Origin Sensor (When the Head Revision Number Is A or Later)
2-1-21-1 Replacing the Fiber Sensor
1) Remove the T sensor bracket. See section 2-1-14 [Replacing the θ-Motor].
2) Remove the fiber sensor from the T sensor bracket.
3) Assemble the removed parts and the new sensor in the reverse procedure.
4) After assembling, rotate the Z-axis to check to see if the belt origin (printed character) is
detected.
* Adjust the assembling position of the fiber sensor so that the distance from the T sensor bracket
surface to the inner 2 pieces can be 6.0 ± 0.5 mm and that to the outer 2 pieces can be 8.0 ± 0.5
mm. As for the assembling direction, attach the cable with a white mark should be located on
the upper side.
* Insert the fiber sensor all the way inside the sensor amplifier.
* Cut the top end of the optical fiber with the supplied cutter to adjust its length.
