– Pull the outer tube of the fork off of the inner tube with a jerk.

The lower sliding bushing bl must be pulled from its bearing seat.

– Remove the upper sliding bushing bm.

Without using tools, carefully pull the stack apart by hand.

– Take off the lower sliding bushing bl.
– Take off support ring bn.
– Take off seal ring bo.
– Take off lock ring bk.
– Take off dust boot 9.
6.11 Checking the fork legs
Condition
The fork legs have been disassembled.

– Check the inner tube and the axle clamp for damage.
» If damage is found:
– Replace the inner tube.

– Measure the external diameter of the inner tube in several places.
External diameter of inner tube 47.975… 48.005 mm (1.88878…
1.88996 in)
» If the measured value is less than the specified value:
– Replace the inner tube.
