PID
The Photoionization Detector (PID) is designed to allow the effluent from a
chromatographic column to be ionized by ultraviolet light (provided the
ionization potential of the effluent is less than that of the UV source). The
current produced by the ion flow is measured by the detector and is proportional
to the concentration of the ionized material.
The following screens show the Active Method screen and the corresponding
settings in the Configuration screen.
