Overview configurable features
Please contact Philips if you want to change the configuration of a feature on your scanner.
Feature Description
Date, time and timezone The date, time and timezone of the scanner can be configured.
Language The language setting of the user interface can be configured.
Barcode type The type of barcode, the location of the barcode or the combination of barcode type
and barcode location can be configured.
When these settings are not configured the scanner selects the first barcode found.
These settings can be changed to support slides that contain multiple barcodes. The
scanner can select a barcode type, a barcode location or a barcode type on a specific
location and send this barcode with the corresponding slide image to the IMS.
Barcode location
Password expiration policy The number of days before user passwords expires can be configured. Default expira-
tion time is 90 days.
Time-outs Time-outs to go from on to standby and to go from standby to off can be configured,
see next table for detailed information.
