User management
The scanner supports two user roles: Level 1 (regular user) and Level 2 (administrator user).
User permissions for a regular user are:
Loading, unloading racks and start scanning.
View rack status, slide status and preview of the slide.
Changing scan order and setting rack priority.
Solving errors.
View PIPS information and scanner information.
Access the scanner remotely.
Switching the scanner off.
In addition to the permissions above, administrator users have permission to:
View the log file.
Start a manual calibration.
Solving system errors.
Manage user accounts and user permissions.
Configure security settings: set the access policy and the automatic log off time.
Administrator authorization rights are necessary to create a new user account and to edit or
delete a account.
Create a new user account
Open the Settings screen.
Select User management.
