Pathology Scanner SG20 / SG60 / SG300
Calibration
For each scan a check on the most important image quality parameters is done. If the check
fails, the scanner will automatically start to calibrate. When a calibration aspect that affects the
image quality is outside its tolerances, the user interface shows a "calibration failed" message.
The scanner will abort the scanning process. To start a manual calibration see chapter “Manual
calibration” on page 44.
NOTICE
Make sure that the system is adequately calibrated.
Contact Philips when calibration fails after multiple retries.
Aborting the scanning process
►
To abort the scanning process, select the power button on the front.
⇨ The Shut down not allowed window appears on the user interface.
► Select STOP to abort the scanning process.
⇨ The Aborting scanning process window appears.
⇨ The scanner first finishes scanning the slide on the stage.
⇨ All slides (including the slide on the stage) are returned to their rack of origin.
► Select Yes in the pop-up window to confirm the shut down request. Select No to set the
scanner in standby mode, and thus e.g. available for service.
⇨
The scanning process has been aborted. The remaining slides in the store will not be
scanned.
Changing the scan order
The Pathology Scanner SG60 and SG300 models allow you to change the scan order of racks. By
default racks are scanned in the order of placement in the store. When the scan order is
changed, the racks will move up or down in the scan queue.
WARNING
Always place the slide to be scanned in a rack and do not manually exchange a slide that is
on the stage.
►
On the user interface, select the rack which is to be moved up or down in the scan queue.
