Barcode issues
The scanner will scan slides even if the slide label is not visible, present or readable.

For slides with multiple barcodes on one slide label, the
scanner can be configured to use a certain barcode type
for slide identification. Contact Philips, if you want to ad-
just the way the scanner handles multiple barcodes on
one label.
Note: reading of multiple barcodes of the same barcode
type on one label is not supported.

Dropped slides
If a slide is dropped, the most likely place to find it is on the catch tray. If the slide is not on the
catch tray, check if it is on the stage or stage area or if it is inside the handler.
► Remove the slide from the catch tray, stage or stage area, see chapter “Remove slide from
stage area” on page 86.
► If the dropped slide is not on the catch tray, stage or stage area, open the handler and
check if the slide is somewhere in the handler or stuck in the grippers, see chapter “Check
handler and grippers” on page 75.
To prevent the issue occurring again, make sure to follow the slide preparation
recommendations, see chapter “Preparation of slides” on page 27.
