Scanner on/off
Connecting the scanner
When the scanner is installed, a Philips installation engineer or a Philips authorized engineer
will connect the scanner to the main power supply and to the IMS.
Contact Philips if the scanner needs to be reconnected.
Switching the scanner on
To switch the scanner on, select the power button on the front.
Initializing

The user interface displays the Initializing screen.
After initialization, the Main screen screen is shown.
You can now touch the screen to:
Proceed with log in: when authentication is required.
or
Proceed with loading the scanner: when authentication is not required.
Switching the scanner off
To shut down the scanner, select the power button on the front.
A confirmation window appears.
Select Yes to confirm.
The blue LED in the power button turns off when the scanner is off.
Automatic standby and shut down
By default the scanner will go into standby mode 30 minutes after the last user interaction or
last slide scan. The user interface turns black.
By default the scanner will switch off automatically after 7 days of being in standby mode.
Touch the screen or select the power button on the front to switch the scanner on or wake
up the scanner from standby.
