Configure the Logix Designer
Application Project
These procedures assume that you have wired your Kinetix 5500 drive system. In
this example, the CompactLogix 5370 controller is used.
For help using Studio 5000 software and the Logix Designer application as it
applies to configuring the ControlLogix or CompactLogix controllers, refer to
Additional Resources
on page 12.
Configure the Logix5000 Controller
Follow these steps to configure the controller.
1. Apply power to your controller and open your Logix Designer application.
2. From the Create menu, choose New Project.
The New Project dialog box appears.
IMPORTANT
If you are configuring a 2198-Hxxx-ERS2 (integrated) servo drive in a
safety application, you must use a GuardLogix safety controller.
