TILT ROD
Tilt piston installation
1. Install:
● Tilt piston assy. 1
● Washer 2
● Bolt 3
NOTE:
Apply a thin coat of LOCTITE

to the tilt rod
threads. Do not let any LOCTITE

contact
the tilt piston assy. and tilt rod contacting
surfaces.
Tilt rod installation
NOTE:
To open the manual valve, turn it clockwise.
1. Install:
● Free piston 1
NOTE:
Push the free piston down until it is fully
compressed at the bottom of the tilt cylin-
der.
2. Fill:
● Tilt cylinder
NOTE:
Fill the cylinder with PTT fluid. Add PTT
fluid until it is approximately 15 mm below
the last thread a on the cylinder as shown.
3. Install:
● Tilt rod assy. 2
NOTE:
When installing the tilt rod assy., make sure
that the tilt rod is fully extended.
Recommended PTT fluid:
ATF Dexron II
