Replacement Procedures for the Printer
Procedures: Main PCBA
Main PCBA
Important • A configuration file, NVM_bkup_< printer serial number >.xml, is saved
when the driver and printer are first installed. If the Main PCBA is not functional, you
can use that file to restore the printer settings.
Preparation
Before you replace the Main PCBA, save the printer configuration settings.
NVMEM (Non-Volatile Memory): This control is used to back up NVMEM to XML for
importing back into the printer. This does a full restore of all printer settings and
calibration data; e.g., ribbon torque, program values, MAC address, etc.
Use this control when replacing the Main PCBA (MCB):
Step 1. Use the ZXP Toolbox (accessible from Printer Preferences) to save the
printer settings.
Step 2. Select Save/Restore from the menu list.
Step 3. Click Save.
Step 4. In the file save dialog, enter a name for your settings file and click Save.
