Derating
The continuous output currents stated above must be derated if any of the following
conditions apply. The final derating factor is a multiplication of all applicable derating
factors.

temperatures between 45 °C (+113 °F) and the maximum of 50 °C (122 °F):

Derating factor for 1.6 A models:
Ambient temperature derating: 3 A, 6 A & 9 A models
No temperature derating is required in ambient temperatures up to the maximum of
55 °C (131 °F).
Altitude derating
At altitudes from 1000 to 2000 m (3280 to 6560 ft) abo
ve sea level, the derating is 1%
for every 100 m (328 ft). For a more accurate derating
, use the DriveSize PC tool.
