Adding Protocol Ports
The Protocol Port page adds interfaces to Protocol groups. To open the Protocol Port page,
click Switch→ VLAN→ Protocol Port in the tree view.

Interface
— Port or LAG number added to a protocol group.
•
Group ID
— Protocol group ID to which the interface is added. Protocol group IDs are defined in the
Protocol Group Table.

VLAN ID (1-4095)
— Attaches the interface to a user-defined VLAN ID. The VLAN ID is defined on
the
Create a New VLAN
page. Protocol ports can either be attached to a
VLAN ID or a VLAN
nameVLAN 4095 is the discard VLAN.
Adding a New Protocol Port
Protocol ports can be defined only on ports that are defined as General in the VLAN Port Settings page.

Open the
Protocol Port
page.

Click
Add
.
The
Add Protocol Port
page opens.

Complete the fields in the dialog.

Click
Apply Changes
.
The new VLAN protocol group is added to the
Protocol Port Table
, and the device is updated.
