Calibrating the Color Tone
To perform the calibration, enter the density setting value calculated by comparing the
density between the Calibration Chart printed and the “Color Samples for Calibration”
provided with the device.
You can calibrate each density (Highlights/Midtones/Shadows) of each color (Yellow/
Magenta/Cyan/Black).
When you restore the density setting value to the factory default after calibration, set all
the value to [0]. If set to [0], no calibration applies at printing.
Important

If the the color tone shifts even after calibration, contact our Customer Support Center.

Configuring the density setting values to the factory settings (all [0]) does not mean that it will return to the
image quality at the time of installation. As the use time increases, the image quality will differ from the
quality at the time of installation due to printer aging, environmental changes, the number of pages printed,
and other factors.
Printing Calibration Chart
There are two types of calibration charts which are the resolution priority and halftone
priority charts.
Use the resolution priority chart to calibrate the detail part such as text, and the halftone
priority chart to calibrate the graphics that contain gradation parts or photographs that
require the smoothness of the color tone.
1 Tap [Device] on the Home screen.
2 Tap [Maintenance] > [Image Quality].
3 Tap [Calibration].
4 Tap [Calibration Type] to select the calibration chart to be printed.
5 Tap [Paper Supply].
6 Select paper size and paper type, and tap [OK].
7 Load the paper in the Tray 5 (Bypass), and tap [Print Calibration Chart].
