4. Ensure all beds copied to the alternate tower are assigned to slots and monitored
at a CIC Pro center.
5. Shut down the ATS, as required, for maintenance, service, troubleshooting or
replacement.
6. After the ATS is brought back online, copy any beds (as required) from the
alternate tower to the ATS. Examples of such beds would include:
Beds admitted while the ATS was offline.
If the ATS was replaced, all beds copied to the alternate tower.
7. Ensure all beds on the ATS brought back online are assigned to slots and
monitored at a CIC Pro center.
8. Rename beds as required.
9. Discharge duplicate beds on the alternate tower.
10. After the discharge process is complete, (when the discharge message is removed
from the Pending Transactions field), exit the Bed Duplicator application. See
Bed Duplicator shutdown on page 4-15.
Visual inspection
Carefully inspect the ATS and its components prior to installation, once each year
thereafter, and each time the equipment is serviced. To perform a complete visual
inspection of the equipment, you need to do a general inspection, as well as a close
inspection of the following components:
Fans
Connectors
Cable insulation
General inspection
Inspect the external surfaces of the computer components and display monitor for
obvious physical damage. Do not use the device if physical damage is evident. Refer
damaged equipment to qualified service personnel for repair.
Fans
Inspect all cooling fans in the computer tower to make sure they are in good working
order and are not clogged with dust. These fans draw outside air into the tower to cool
the components inside.
Connectors
Inspect all external connectors for damaged pins, prongs and connector housings.
Refer damaged equipment to qualified service personnel for repair. Ensure that all
connections are properly seated and secure.
