Installation
Installation process
Perform the following procedures to install the ATS.
Verify that pre-installation requirements are met. See Pre-installation
requirements on page 3-2.
Verify that installation requirements are met. See Installation requirements on
page 3-2.
Follow ATS installation safety precautions. See ATS installation on page 3-6.
Mount the ATS. See Mounting on page 3-7.
Connect the network cables to the ATS. See Connections on page 3-13.
Power up the ATS. See Power up on page 3-14.
Pre-installation requirements
A site survey, along with all associated network upgrades and rack/mounting
preparations must be completed prior to installation.
Site survey
WARNING
LOSS OF FUNCTION — Perform a site survey. Failure to perform
a site survey may lead to improper performance of the ATS and may
affect the performance of the Unity Network as well.
The site survey must be performed by authorized GE personnel only.
Installation requirements
Location
General location requirements
WARNING
SHOCK HAZARD — The ATS should be installed and located with
other network equipment, such as a server rack or cabinet. The ATS
must not be located in the patient environment, as a shock hazard
may exist, unless the medical electrical system standard, IEC/EN
60601-1-1 is followed. The ATS is UL/IEC/EN 60950 certified
equipment, and may not meet the current leakage requirements of
patient care area equipment.
