[2] 4WD / BI-SPEED TURN SYSTEM
Checking of 2WD / 4WD / Bi-speed Turn System
1. Place the disassembling stand under the transmission case.
2. Remove the rear wheels and fender L.H..
3. Place the disassembling stand under the rear axle case.
4. Place the disassembling stand under the front axle.
5. Remove the both R.H. and L.H. front wheels and place the
disassembling stand under the front axle for both side.
6. Remove the plug (R1/8) (1), (3) on the solenoid valve assembly
(5).
7. Assemble the adaptor (R1/8), threaded joint, cable and
pressure gauge (7).
8. Start the engine and measure the pressure of each port and
each 4WD/Bi-speed turn switch (10) position as the table below.
9. Steer the steering wheel for the end of one side and measure
the oil pressure.
10. If only the pressure in the Bi-speed turn clutch engaged position
is low, check the hydraulic system.
11. If the measurement is not within the factory specifications,
measure the system pressure, and adjust the system pressure
with relief valve (4) if necessary.
Condition
• Engine speed : Approx. 2600 min
-1
(rpm)
• Oil temperature : 45 to 55 °C (113 to 131 °F)
WARNING
• Be sure to place the main gear shift lever and shuttle lever
in neutral position.
NOTE
• Pressure gauge is 5 MPa (50 kgf/cm
2
, 700 psi) full scale.
• Apply Three Bond 1324N or equivalent to the plugs (1) and
(3), when install them.
• Plug (1) and (3) thread size is R1/8.
