Authentication Feature
The authentication feature that can be used in the machine verifies a user by checking
the UserID and password registered in the machine in advance against the UserID
and password entered during an operation, and restricts/controls the operation on this
machine depending on the authentication result.

Types of Authentication
This section describes the types of authentication that can be used with the machine.
The following two authentication methods are available on the machine:

Authentication using control panel
z
Authentication with IC card
Authentication using Control Panel
Authentication is performed using the control panel on the machine.
Register the UserID of the user who uses the machine in advance.
Authentication is executed by pressing the <System Settings> button on the control
panel and entering the UserID there.
Authentication with IC Card
Authentication is performed with IC Card Reader.
Authentication is controlled by using a card whose card ID is registered in the machine
in advance.
Note • A UserID is registered in the card for the IC Card Reader in advance.
