Specifying the Sensitivity Level for Paper Protection
[Paper Protection Sensitivity]
Specify the sensitivity level for detecting feeding errors when the paper protection function is enabled.
Documents are warped and deformed or paper jam noise is made when documents are not being fed properly.
Specify the sensitivity level for detecting deformed documents by warpage or feeding noise.
1 Start up the Software Operation Panel.
For details, refer to Starting Up the Software Operation Panel (page 241).
2 From the list on the left, select [Device Setting 2] → [Paper Protection Sensitivity].
3 Select a detection method.
Feeding Accuracy
This is available when [Detect] for [Paper Protection] is either [Feeding Accuracy] or
[Feeding Accuracy & Noise].
Feeding Noise
This is available when [Detect] for [Paper Protection] is either [Feeding Noise] or
[Feeding Accuracy & Noise].
4 Select the sensitivity level.
Low
Decreases the sensitivity level to detect warped documents or paper jam noise.
Specify this to only detect highly deformed documents by warpage or loud paper noise.
