Paper Size
The following paper sizes can be scanned:
Maximum size (width × length)
● A4 (portrait) (210 × 297 mm/8.3 × 11.7 in.)
● Legal (portrait) (8.5 × 14 in.)
● Long page document (*1) (304.8 × 863 mm, 304.8 × 5,588
mm)
Minimum size (width × length)
● 50.8 × 54.0 mm
● 54.0 × 50.8 mm
*1:Depending on the image scanning application or the scan setting of the scanner driver, the memory may be
insufficient to perform scanning.
Long page scanning supports documents with a length up to 5,588 mm (220 in.) when the resolution is set
to 200 dpi or lower.
Paper Type
The following paper types are recommended:
● Wood-free paper
● Wood-containing paper
● PPC paper (recycled)
● Plastic card
When using paper types other than the above, make sure you test with the same type of paper first to check if
the document can be scanned.
Paper Weight (Thickness)
Documents with the following paper weights can be scanned:
● 27 to 413 g/m
2
(7.2 to 110 lb)
● For A8 size or smaller, 128 to 209 g/m
2
(34 to 56 lb)
● For plastic cards, 1.4 mm or less
