Additionally, if the S10 Node was returned racked, you need an enclosure
carton, either the carton that was returned with the S10 Node or a carton
that you supply. This carton should contain foam packing pieces, two straps
for lifting the enclosure, the box for the enclosure mounting rails, the box
for the front panel and light pipe assembly, and the enclosure accessory
box.
If the S10 Node was returned unracked and the outer enclosure mounting
rails do not have the rail extenders and cable management arm extenders
attached to them, you need these extenders, either extenders that were
returned with the S10 Node or extenders that you supply.
If the S10 Node includes an upgrade kit and the upgrade-kit drives are
returned installed in the enclosure, you need a box for the upgrade kit,
either the box that was returned with the S10 Node or a box that you
supply.
If the S10 Node was returned racked and the rack contains PDUs, you need
a box for each PDU, either the box that was returned with the S10 Node or a
box that you supply.
Step 1 (conditional): Unpack the enclosure
If the S10 Node was returned unracked, you need to unpack the enclosure
from the carton it was shipped in.
To unpack the enclosure:
1. Remove the four clips on each of the two opposite ends of the carton
containing the enclosure. To remove a clip, while squeezing the tabs on
the clip, pull the clip out of the carton.
2. Lift the top off the carton.
