Step 16: Disconnect the server interconnect cable and, if
applicable, the BMC interconnect cables
The two server modules are connected by the one-foot purple server
interconnect cable. If the S30 Node was returned racked, the two server
modules are most likely also connected by two one-foot purple
BMCîinterconnect cables.
Disconnect the server interconnect cable and, if applicable, each
BMCîinterconnect cable from both server modules.
Step 17: Unrack, disassemble, and pack the server
modules
If the S30 Node was returned racked, you need to remove the server
modules from the rack. Remove the top server module first and then the
bottom one. To prevent the rack from becoming top heavy, be sure to
remove the server modules from the rack before removing the enclosures.
Regardless of whether the S30 Node was returned racked or unracked, you
need to remove the inner components from the server modules. You also
need to ensure that the inner server module mounting rails are inserted
into the outer mounting rails.
To unrack, disassemble, and pack a server module:
1.
Conditional: Remove the server module from the rack (see page 83)
2.
Conditional: Remove the inner rails from the server module (see page
85)
