2. If the S30 Node was returned racked and the power cable is secured to
the rack, use the wire cutter to cut the cable ties used to secure the
cable.
3. Disconnect the cable from the power and cooling module to which the
cable is connected.
If the enclosure was returned racked, the cable is most likely secured to
the power and cooling module by a power cable lock. If the cable is
secured with a power cable lock, to disconnect the cable:
a. While pushing back the small tab on the bottom of the clasp on the
power cable lock, pull the clasp away from the enclosure.
b. Press down the tab on the side of the clasp to open the clasp.
c. Unplug the power cable from the power and cooling module, and
move the cable out of the clasp.
d. If the power cable is not threaded through a cable management arm,
place the power cable in the enclosure accessory box.
If the power cable is threaded through a cable management arm,
leave it there for now. You remove the cable from the arm in Step
18d (conditional): "Remove the cable management arms" on
page120.
Step 15: Uncable the enclosures
Now you need to disconnect the SAS cables that connect the enclosures to
the server modules and, if applicable, other enclosures.
To disconnect a SAS cable from an enclosure or server module, pull the blue
tab at the end of the cable.
If the S30 Node was returned racked, the SAS cables for the racked
enclosures are most likely threaded through cable management arms.
Leave the cables in the cable management arms for now.You remove the
cables from the cable management arms in Step 18d (conditional):
"Remove the cable management arms" on page120.
