To prepare the enclosure carton:
1. Remove the four clips on each of the two opposite ends of the carton. To
remove a clip, while squeezing the tabs on the clip, pull the clip out of
the carton.
2. Lift the top off the carton.
3. Remove any packing materials from inside the carton and set them
aside. These should include foam packing pieces, two straps for lifting
the enclosure, the box for the enclosure mounting rails, the box for the
front panel and light pipe assembly, and the enclosure accessory box.
4. Lift the sides off the bottom of the carton.
5. On the bottom of the carton, position the foam packing pieces that go
under the enclosure so that the enclosure can be correctly seated on
them.
Step 11: Disconnect the power cables
You need to disconnect each power cable from the power and cooling
module and PDU to which the cable is connected.
To disconnect a power cable:
1. Disconnect the cable from the PDU to which the cable is connected.
2. If the S10 Node was returned racked and the power cable is secured to
the rack, use the wire cutter to cut the cable ties used to secure the
cable.
3. Disconnect the cable from the power and cooling module to which the
cable is connected.
If the enclosure was returned racked, the cable is most likely secured to
the power and cooling module by a power cable lock. If the cable is
secured with a power cable lock, to disconnect the cable:
a. While pushing back the small tab on the bottom of the clasp on the
power cable lock, pull the clasp away from the enclosure.
b. Press down the tab on the side of the clasp to open the clasp.
