Table 19. LE08 Encoder scaling settings
The function is not activated. The encoder pulses per
revolution from LE02 is used directly.
The LE02 pulses per revolution to a lower value that can be
accepted by the encoder interface.
Example:
An incremental encoder is listed as 36000 ppr. The maximum acceptable ppr for
the incremental encoder feedback is 16384. With LE08 Encoder Scaling = 2
(activated), set LE02 Pulse Number to 9000, set LE09 Enc1 Numerator to 4 and
the LE10 Enc1 Denominator to 1. The drive will scale 36,000 ppr to 9000 ppr
according to LE02 x LE09 / LE10 (9000 x 4 / 1= 36,000).
LE09 Encoder 1 Numerator
Numerator of encoder scaling factor when enabled with the setting of LE08 Encoder
Scaling = LE02 x LE09 / LE10.
LE10 Encoder 1 Denominator
Denominator of encoder scaling factor when enabled with the setting of LE08 Encoder
Scaling = LE02 x LE09 / LE10.
LE11 Serial Encoder 1 Type
Encoders with serial communication to the drive (e.g., EnDat, SSi, Hiperface, BiSS) can
identify their type and would be displayed in this parameter.
Incremental encoders do not transmit serially and therefore the encoder type will
display îš³No Encoder Detectedîš´.
