1.4 Start-up and Operation
Risk of serious injury or death!
Unintentional drive behavior during initial start-up or replacement of the
drive controller!
ï‚„ Wrong parameterization can cause unintentional behavior of the drive.
ï‚„ Secure motors against automatic restart.
ï‚„ Check whether the appropriate parameter list for the application has been
imported.
Risk of serious injury or death!
Protection function in case of software problems without function!
ï‚„ Securing a unit solely with software-supported functions is not sufficient.
ï‚„ Install external protective measures (e.g. limit switch) that are
independent of the drive controller.
1.5 Maintenance
The following maintenance work must be carried out when required, but at least once per
year by authorized and trained personnel. Check unit for loose screws and plugs and
tighten if necessary.
ï‚„ Check system for loose screws and plugs and tighten if necessary.
ï‚„ Clean drive controller from dirt and dust deposits. Pay attention especially to cooling
fins and protective grid of the fans.
ï‚„ Examine and clean extracted air filter and cooling air filter of the control cabinet.
ï‚„ Check the function of the fans of the drive controller. The fan must be replaced in
case of audible vibrations or squeak.
Risk of serious injury or death due to electric shock!
Unpredictable malfunctions!
ï‚„ Unauthorized exchange, repair and modifications can cause
unpredictable malfunctions.
ï‚„ Never bridge upstream protective devices. Also not for test purposes.
ï‚„ Switch off the supply voltage.
ï‚„ Secure it against switching on.
ï‚„ Wait until all drives have been stopped to ensure that no regenerative
energy can be generated.
ï‚„ Await capacitor discharge time (min. 5 minutes). Measure DC voltage at
the terminals.
