LAN Port
• LAN Port of ATA211 is used to connect ATA to a computer or to one of the Ethernet ports of LAN switch
according to the application for which it is to be used. Programming of basic LAN parameters is explained
in this chapter.
• The user should get the IP address for the LAN port of ATA211 from the LAN administrator which will be
required to be configured on LAN port of ATA211. Refer topic “Programming Options”.
• While connecting the LAN port, to the PC, it may be required to change the IP address of the LAN port of
the ATA211 so that the user can access the Embedded Web Server using this IP address also.
• The subnet of LAN IP address and IP address of PC should be different. Also the subnet of LAN should be
deferent from subnet of WAN address.
How to program?
Open the Web Jeeves and click on 'LAN Port' link. (Both Admin and User can access this Webpage). The Webpage
will be as shown below:
LAN Port parameters can be configured as follow:
• IP Address: By default, the LAN IP Address of ATA211 is 192.168.002.006. You can change the IP
address as per your LAN addressing scheme. Please note that the IP address of LAN and WAN port
should be in different subnet. Else the routing functionality of ATA211 will be affected. Also, if LAN port of
ATA211 is connected to the LAN switch or computer, IP address of all the LAN port and computers should
be in the same subnet.
The IP address can be changed from this web page 'LAN Port' and also using the command through
conventional phone.
• Subnet Mask: By default, the subnet mask of LAN port of ATA211 is 255.255.255.0. You can change
subnet mask as per your LAN addressing scheme.

• MAC Address: The MAC address is unique for each ATA211.
The system will restart when you change either IP Address or subnet mask of LAN port of ATA211.
