Pause Timer
• This timer is required to insert the delay while the digits of a number string are out dialed by ATA211.
• When '^' character is configured in the number string, it will be considered as Pause. One of the
applications is multi-stage dialing. Refer chapter “Using SETU ATA211”.
• You can program this timer from 1-9 seconds.
Default = 2 seconds.
Call Hold Method
• Select RFC: This feature allows the ATA to select the method for Call Hold, so that the ATA can be
integrated successfully with other IP devices. The ATA supports following methods for Call Hold for each
SIP account:
• RFC 2543
• RFC 3261
Default = RFC 3261
Program the Call Hold Method = RFC 3261 if the ATA should send following parameters in the SIP
message (SDP):
• Connection Information: IP Address (Local IP or STUN mapped IP or Router Public IP)
• Media attribute (a) : sendonly
Program the Call Hold Method = RFC 2543 if the ATA should send following parameters in the SIP
message (SDP):
• Connection Information: 0.0.0.0
• Media attribute (a) : sendonly
FAX Option
• User can send/receive the FAX by normal procedure when a FAX machine is connected to FXS port of the
ATA211.
• Following FAX options are supported by ATA:
• T.38 (UDPTL)
• Pass Through
• The option selected here signifies how FAX messages will be handled by the ATA.
• Select Pass-through option if you need to send fax message over G.711. The peer device should also use
G.711.
• While using T.38 to send fax messages, the peer device should also support T.38.
Default = T.38 (UDPTL).
If the FAX, sent using T.38 and is rejected, then ATA211 will use Pass Through option for sending the FAX
(as a Fall Back Mechanism).
