Dialed Number Table
ATA supports the routing of the call to the specific destination route, based on which 'number' you have dialed for
making OG call. This feature is called 'Dialed Number Based Routing'.
This feature is useful for Least Cost Routing (LCR), application as explained in following scenario:
• Suppose, the ATA is using SIP account ITSP 1 (SIP1) to make OG calls, which provides cheaper calling
rates for calling to US and at the same time, should use ITSP 2 (PSTN) which provides cheaper calling
rates for calling to Gulf countries. Thus this feature can be used for automatic routing of the call through a
cheaper Service Provider.
• When OG call is made, by dialing the programmed 'Number', the call can be routed from any of the
destination ports: FXS/FXO/ SIP1/SIP2/SIP3.
• If call is made from FXO, by dialing the 'Number' which is not matching with the programmed number, the
call can be routed from FXS port or any of the SIP accounts.
• If call is made from FXS, by dialing the 'Number' which is not matching with the programmed number, the
call can be routed from FXO port or any of the SIP accounts.
For this feature, a Dialed Number Table is configured in the ATA, using following parameters:
• Number
• Minimum Digit
• Maximum Digit
• Destination Route
In this Table, the specific Number to be dialed and the Destination route, corresponding to each Number are
programmed.
Also, the destination route is specified, for the numbers to be dialed from FXS port or FXO port, which are not
matching with the numbers programmed in the Dialed Number Table.
To dial only the required number of digits which will be valid for the interfacing PBX or device, ATA supports
programming of Maximum number of digits and Minimum number of digits in the Table.
Significance of Maximum number of digits and Minimum number of digits:
If the user has dialed the number of digits as equal to specified Maximum number of digits programmed in the table,
the ATA will consider it as 'End of dialing' and will dial out the number.
Default 'End of dialing digit' is '#' for the system.
If the user has dialed the number of digits, which is less than 'Minimum number of digits' programmed in the Table,
then user will get error tone.
Following points are relevant for configuring the Table:
• Maximum 100 numbers which are to be dialed can be programmed in the Dialed number table.
• Dialed number table is applicable when the call is made from: FXS/FXO.
• Each entry is programmed with Number and corresponding Minimum & Maximum digits with destination
route (FXS/FXO/SIP1/SIP2/SIP3) which will be used to make an OG call. (If source port is FXO, the
destination route can be programmed for the dialed number which is not matching the Table).
• If the number of dialed digits matches with the programmed 'maximum digits', ATA will consider it as end of
dialing and call will be made through corresponding destination route.
• The dialed number is a valid number only if dialed number of digits is equal to or more than the 'minimum
digits' programmed for that number prefix.
