Description and configuration of WAN Port parameters is as under:
• Enable DHCP: Select 'Enable DHCP', if you want IP address, Subnet mask and Gateway address to be
assigned by DHCP server automatically. By default, it is disabled.
• Enable PPPoE: Select 'Enable PPPoE', if your ISP provides internet services using PPPoE. Configure
User name, User Password and PPPoE Service Name provided by your ISP. Maximum of 16 characters
can be used. The ASCII characters are allowed. By default, PPPoE is disabled and all PPPoE
parameters are blank.
• Enable Static IP: Select 'Enable Static IP', if you want to assign IP address, Subnet Mask and Gateway
address manually. Configure all the fields manually if you have selected this option. By default, it is
enabled.
Default WAN IP address is 192.168.001.171.
Default Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0, and
Default Gateway Address is blank.
DNS Setting
• DNS Server: DNS stands for Domain Name Server which is used to resolve domain name in to IP
address. You can select DNS type, from following options:
•Static
• Obtain Automatically.
By default 'Static' is selected.
Select 'Static' if you want to program DNS manually.
Select 'Obtain Automatically' if you want DNS address and Domain name to be assigned by DHCP/
PPPoE server, automatically.
