PIN Authentication
This feature allows you to receive, incoming call on the FXS port only from specific callers to the ATA211.
You can enable/disable this feature on FXS port.
If it is enabled, the caller will be required to dial 'PIN' as programmed in ATA211, while calling to the ATA211.
Refer topic “PIN Authentication” for more details. Default = Disable.
Flash Timer
Flash timer signifies the time period for which the loop current breaks. ATA uses this event for various features like
Call Hold, Call Transfer, etc. Flash timer is programmable. It ranges from 100 ms to 900 ms.
Default = 600 ms.
AC Impedance
Generally, the different communication equipment connected to FXS port of ATA has different AC impedance.
ATA211 supports programmable AC impedance for interfacing with other equipment, with following values:
• 600
• 900
• 270 + (750 || 150 nF)
• 220 + (820 || 115 nF)
• 370 + (620 || 310 nF)
• 320 + (1050 || 230 nF)
• 350 + (1000 || 210 nF)
• 200 + (680 || 100 nF)
Default = 600
Volume Control
You can adjust the Speaking Volume (Transmit) on FXS port so that your voice will be clearly heard by the remote
user. You can also adjust the Listening Volume (Receive) on FXS port so that you can hear clearly the remote
user's voice.
• Speaking Volume: The ATA211 supports programmable Speaking volume from values -6dB to +6dB in
steps of 1 dB, viz. -6, -5,-4,-3,-2,-1,0,+1,+2,+3,+4,+5,+6 (dB).
Default = 0dB.
• Listening Volume: The ATA211 supports programmable Listening volume from values -6dB to +6dB in
steps of 1 dB, viz. -6, -5,-4,-3,-2,-1,0,+1,+2,+3,+4,+5,+6 (dB).
Default = 0dB.
Echo Cancellation
Echo Cancellation is a technique that allows isolation and filtering of unwanted signals caused by echoes.
Sometimes an echo is produced while talking on phone due to which it becomes difficult to hear and understand the
speech of the remote party. Echo cancellation puts a signal on the return transmission path, which is equal and
opposite of the echo signal.
• Enable Echo Cancellation?: Select this as 'Yes' to enable Echo Cancellation or 'No' to disable it. The tail
length should be selected for programming Echo Canceller if this is set as 'Yes'. By default it is 'Yes'.
• Tail Length: Program this parameter if Echo Cancellation is enabled. Select tail length depending on the
length of the echo.
