FXO Port
The FXO port will be used as one of the ports, to configure call routing type in ATA211, using gateway functionality
for call routing amongst the ports; FXO-FXS-SIP as explained below:
• The Number can be dialed from the conventional phone, connected to FXS port for OG call from the FXO
port.
• The call on FXO can be routed to FXS port based on the Number received, if the routing option selected is
'As per Dialed Number Table' and FXS port is programmed as destination for routing the call. Refer
chapter “Dialed Number Table” for programming the Dialed Number Table.
• The call on FXO can be routed to desired SIP account.
• The call on FXO can be routed to desired SIP account, based on the Number received.
• The call on FXO can be routed to fixed destination, if the fixed destination number is programmed in
ATA211.
• The call on SIP can be routed to FXO port.
• In case you have dialed Number on SIP account, but the SIP account is not registered, the ATA211 can
route this call to FXO port, if it is configured for Auto PSTN Fall Back feature.
• The FXO port of ATA211, can be interfaced with the analog trunk from PSTN and will be useful for routing
the incoming call to FXS and SIP.
• This port can also be used to dial out numbers when Ethernet link is down and the number cannot be
routed through IP network. Refer topic “Making Calls” using Auto PSTN Fallback in chapter Using SETU
ATA211.
• This port can also be interfaced with FXS port of the PBX for some applications by configuring desired
parameters as explained in this chapter.
