General knowledge of monitoring and an understanding of the features and functions of the
V 12/V 21 are prerequisites for its proper use.
Please read and adhere to all of the warnings and precautions listed throughout this manual.
A WARNING is provided to alert the user to potentially serious outcomes (death, injury or serious
adverse events) to the patient or the user.
A CAUTION
is provided to alert the user that special care should be taken for the safe and effective
use of the device. They will include actions to be taken to avoid effects on patients or users that will
not be potentially life threatening or result in serious injury, but about which the user should be
aware.

About this Addendum
The purpose of this addendum is to describe the parameters which are available through the V
Device Integrator (VDI) module. Only use this addendum in tandem with the V Series Operating
Instructions . Each chapter contains the parameter alarm limits and alarm responses, instructions for
connecting to the third party device (for example, Edwards Vigilance Monitor), digital tile layout, and
troubleshooting.
