2.5.2 About the Gases Digital Tile
• If a gas measurement is invalid, “- -” displays in place of digits.
• The Gases tile displays all values in units of percent (%).
The agent displays values with a resolution of 0.1%,
The N
2
O and O
2
display values with a resolution of 1%.
• When the system detects a gas that is not one of the five known anesthetic agents, the gas label
displays as “AA”.
• The color of MAC label and value, and the color of Age are same as the color of the primary agent.
2.5.3 Gases Alarms
Refer to the "Gases Tab" on page 8-7 in the V Series Operating Instructions for additional information.
2.5.4 Message Area
The message area provides information about the current state of the gases parameter. If there is
more than one message to display, the messages scroll.
MESSAGE DETAILS
ET XX High Alarm Violation * Indicates that the current value is either equal to or higher
than
the set alarm limits.
ET XX Low Alarm Violation* Indicates that the current value is either equal to or lower
than
the set alarm limits.
Insp XX High Alarm Violation * Indicates that the current value is either equal to or higher
than
the set alarm limits.
Insp XX Low Alarm Violation* Indicates that the current value is either equal to or lower
than
the set alarm limits.
MAC < 3 During episodes of mixed agent when MAC value is less
than
3.
MAC > 3
• During episodes of mixed agent when MAC
value is equal or greater than 3.
• When MAC Alarm in Gas alarm limit has been
configured to be On and a single agent is
present.
Mixed Agent During episodes of mixed agent if the MAC value is invalid.
Unknown Agent Indicates that the detected gas is not one of five known
anes
thetic agents--Iso, Hal, Enf, Sev or Des.
Gas Calibrating Indicates that the Gas Module calibration is active.
Zeroing Indicates that the Gas Module is currently zeroing.
Pump Off Indicates that the pump is off.
Occlusion Indicates that the filterline is blocked.
Calibration Failed Indicates that the most recent Gas Module calibration
failed.
Wa
rming Up Indicates that the Gas Module has not yet reached its
oper
ating temperature.
Unable to Zero Indicates a failure on zeroing any of the gas parameters.
Exhaust Blocked Indicates that the exhaust is blocked.
Replace Trap Indicates that the trap needs to be replaced.
Gas Module Failure Indicates a general Gas Module failure.
