Halothane (Hal), and Enflurane (Enf).
Mindray DS Gas Module 3 is a leading-edge breath-by-breath
gas analyzer, which delivers state-of-
the-art gas monitoring and analysis capabilities. Refer to Gas Module 3 Operating Instructions (P/
N 0070-10-0696-02) for additional information regarding the use and maintenance of the device.
This chapter describes the Gas module in detail, including how to configure Gas alarm limits,
configure the Gas parameter, calibrate and monitor gases.
The V 12/V 21 gase
s monitoring provides:
• awRR: Airway Respiratory Rate
• MAC: Minimal Alveolar Concentration
• inspired and expired values for CO

Patient Sizes
Intended patient types: Adult, Pediatric, Neonate.
VDI Module Connector
The VPS module does not include the Gases parameter. The Gases parameter is available through the
serial port of a separate module called the V Device Integrator (VDI) (as shown in FIGURE 2-1).
