● Applying Red-Eye Reduction
You can darken the red eyes (pupils) caused by flash. You can select the color to be corrected. For example,
you can also change the green eyes of a dog or cat.
To apply red-eye reduction, follow the procedure below.
1 From the [Filter] menu in the image edit window, select [Red-Eye Reduction].
Alternatively, click [Red-Eye Reduction] on the toolbar in the [Image Edit]
window.
The edit setting panel shows the [Red-Eye Reduction] options.
2 Use [Zoom In], [Zoom Out], and [Scroll] on the toolbar to display the area of
the eyes at a convenient size (g page 307).
3 Use the selection buttons (Rectangle, Circle, Polygon, or Lasso) on the
toolbar to select an area to which to apply red-eye reduction (
g page 309).
4 Select [Red] from the [Color for Correction] pull-down list.
5 Click the [Apply] button.
The red eye in the selected area is changed to black.
6 Repeat steps 1 to 5 to apply the effect to the necessary areas.
