Chapter 2 Drive Installation
Externally mounted fans and fan hood
The converter has cooling fans that are externally mounted (refer to Figure 47). It
is necessary to re-install and connect the fans, and install the fan hood.
Shipped with the drive is a plate with the fans mounted and wired to terminal
blocks. On site, the fan assembly is to be mounted on the top plate of the
converter cabinet as shown in Figure 47
.
Wiring for fan power is to be routed through the hole near the terminal blocks.
The plate is fastened to the cabinet with M6 hardware. Connect wires to the
terminal blocks per the electrical diagram.
Position the fan hood over the fan assembly and fasten with M6 hardware.
