14.17.2 Functionality
The circuit breaker condition monitoring function SSCBR is used to monitor different
parameters of the circuit breaker. The breaker requires maintenance when the number
of operations has reached a predefined value. The energy is calculated from the
measured input currents as a sum of I
y
t values. Alarms are generated when the
calculated values exceed the threshold settings.
The function contains a block alarm functionality.
The supervised and presented breaker functions include
• breaker open and close travel time
• spring charging time
• number of breaker operations
•
accumulated I
Y
t per phase with alarm and lockout
• remaining breaker life per phase
• breaker inactivity
