1. 2 Point of maintenance
Chain tension
(1)
If the chains are not tensioned sufficiently,they can slip out of their guide formed by
rollers,drive gear and idler wheel,thereby increasing wear levels.
If the chains are tensioned too tightly, this increases wear on the idler wheel
anddriveunit mounting, and also increases wear on track bolts and bushes.
Chain tension is performed by hydraulic.
Check chain tension
Check the position between idler wheel
and the first carrier roller, when
distance a=15-25mm, the crawler
chain is in proper status.
Adjusting chain tension
If the crawler chain is too slack, the crawler chain tension need to be carried out.
Check and tension the crawler chain through
- Start the engine
- Lower both left and right leveling cyliners to limit position through control panel.
- Continuely active the leveling cylinders lower function make leveling system at
overflow status, and filling fluid to crawler tension system.
- Both left and right crawler chains will slowly tension to their proper tightness.
- Drive the paver forward and backward a few times.
- Check the position between of idler wheel and the first carrier roller, when
distance a=15-25mm, the crawler chain is in proper status.
