Transportation on low-bed trailers
Reduce the paver finisher and the screed to their basic widths; also remove any
attached side plates.
The maximum approach angle is indicated in the section entitled “Technical data”!
Check the fill level of the operating substances so that these do not escape when
driving on an incline.
Attachment and loading equipment must meet the conditions of the applicable
accident prevention regulations!
The weight of the paver finisher must be taken into consideration when selecting
the attachment and loading equipment!
2.1 Preparations
- Prepare the paver finisher for transportation (see chapter D).
- Remove all overlaying or loose parts from finisher and screed (see also Operating
instructions for the screed). Store these parts in a safe place.
Move the auger to the uppermost position to avoid collisions!
When the screed is operated with the optional gas heating system:
- Remove the gas bottles for the screed heating system:
- Close the main shut-off valves and the bottle
valves.
- Turn off the valves on the bottles and remove
the gas bottles from the screed.
- Transport the gas bottles on a second vehicle;
heed all applicable safety regulations.
