7. 1 Continuous sound pressure F3030C,

The operator always must use ear protection. The emission value at the ear of the
driver varies depending on the materials used for paving and may even rise above
85 dB (A). If no ear protection devices are used, hearing can be impaired.
The sound emission level of the paver finisher was measured under free-field
conditions according to EN 500-6:2006 and ISO 4872.

7. 2 Operating conditions during measurement
The diesel engine was running at maximum speed. The screed was lowered into
working position on the rubber pad.
Tamper and vibration unit were operated at min. 50%, while the augers were
operated at a minimum of 40% and the conveyors were operated at a minmum of
10% of their maximum speed.
7. 3 Measuring point configuration
Hemispherical measuring surface with a radius of 16 m. The vehicle was at the
centre. The measuring points had been assigned the following coordinates:
